Several of the great battle cries of the Protestant Reformation were sola fide (by faith alone), sola gratia (by grace alone), and sola Christo (by Christ alone). Who would think that the Reformed church of the 21st Century would have to rally again behind these battle cries? This time, the threat comes from within the Reformed camp. Jesus said that there would be false apostles who would be wolves in sheep’s clothing, and the apostle Paul warned the Ephesian elders that savage wolves would come from their own midst, not sparing the flock. The advent of Federal Vision theology has brought one of the most serious threats to the Reformed community in a long time. The glorious doctrines of justification "by faith alone" and the imputation of Christ's righteousness to believers have been denied. The five points of Calvinism have all been jeopardized. Baptismal regeneration is advocated. The Federal Vision is simply a hybrid form of Roman Catholicism. This 540 page book is the most comprehensive work on this subject. It is thoroughly documented with numerous quotes from the lectures and writings of several proponents of the Federal Vision. You will find this book an extremely valuable resource. | ||

During Jesus' earthly ministry, He was moved with compassion to the spiritual plight of men. He saw them as distressed and downtrodden. Jesus told his disciples that the harvest was plentiful but the workers were few. The disciples were commanded to pray that God would raise up men to reap the great harvest (Matthew 9:36-38). Jesus commanded His disciples to go into the entire world and preach the gospel to all creation (Mark 16:15). Evangelism is one of the two primary responsibilities of the church. How effective are we in this task? Do we have the heart of compassion that Jesus had? Do we care that men are perishing in their sins? God has ordained the end by the means. God saves His elect through the faithfulness of the Gospel witnessed to and preached. How well do our church members know the Gospel? It is vital that they understand, for their eternal destinies are at stake. How capable are our church members in witnessing to others of this glorious Gospel? Could they take someone through the Scriptures and show them the way of salvation? This 43-page booklet, "Do You Really Know the Gospel?"; is designed to help the Lord's church to understand this vital truth. This booklet is ideal for evangelism training. |

"This booklet's purpose is to make available a concise piece of literature, which sets forth the basic principles of prayer. Many Christians are living a powerless and ineffective life because of a poor prayer life. They have feeble expectations because they have a feeble concept of a sovereign God, who eagerly awaits to pour out His blessings to a people, who are bold enough to pray as they are commanded in Scripture." |

This booklet's purpose is to set forth the biblical teaching concerning what it means to be a genuine Christian. It is sad that one has to use the word "genuine" when referring to a Christian. It is because there is great confusion in the Christian community regarding this issue. Who is the genuine Christian? What are the distinguishing characteristics of this person? Can we have assurance of our salvation in light of the fact that we can make a false profession of faith? This booklet seeks to give these answers. |

"There is a tremendous need for a biblical approach to divorce and remarriage in American society. Divorce is an immense problem facing our culture. Presently, one in two marriages ends in divorce-a statistic reflecting the American population in general. Though the overwhelming numbers of these divorces are among non-Christians, divorces among professing Christians are growing at an alarming rate." This booklet presents a concise Biblical look at this very important issue in today's culture. It even gives precise examples of what does and does not constitute a Biblical divorce. |

Should Christians be wealthy, or is it more godly to be poor? What does the Bible really say about wealth? In "Glorifying God With Your Wealth", pastor John M. Otis sets forth eleven biblical principles that should regulate a Christian's view of wealth. Foremost, God is the source of all wealth accumulation. The Christian is simply a steward of God's wealth that is given to the believer for his enjoyment and for the believer's ministry to the needy of society and for the extension of God's kingdom in this world. The Bible does teach that wisdom is greater than riches, but it also teaches that wisdom combined with riches is even more powerful. Together they can change the world. Are there dangers associated with wealth? Absolutely. In this helpful book, pastor Otis enables us to navigate through those dangerous areas, leading us to a more productive Christian life. I Timothy 6:17-19 contains a special exhortation to the rich of this world. They can use their material wealth through their generosity to lay up lasting treasures in Heaven. This book isolates the eleven Biblical principles of wealth accumulation, found in "The Bible, Wealth, and Network Marketing." |
| |
|
This book is similar to "Glorifying God with Your Wealth", but also addresses in more detail the marketing method known as "network marketing". Should a Christian participate in programs that are built as a network? Check this book to get a Biblical answer. |
